Summers
Our 2007 LeNude Chardonnay is produced from grapes grown in Alexander Valley bordered by Russian River and Chalk Hill Appellations. This area has unique river benchland soils, which produce some of California’s most distinctive Chardonnays. This unoaked Chardonnay was fermented and aged sur lie for eight months in Stainless Steel Tank. The wine possesses a pale straw color, offering aromas of young pineapple, lemongrass, and honeysuckle in the bouquet. On the palate, this Chardonnay delivers flavors of fresh tropical fruit and yellow flowers, refreshing acidity, and it concludes with a crisp lively finish. Suggested Food Parings: Seafood and salads.
Wine Enthusiast
This cleverly named Chard is a good example of the unoaked style. It’s quite crisp and dry, and shows the grape’s pure flavors of pineapples and Meyer lemons. But the wine was aged on the lees, which gives it rich layers of yeast and cream.
